What We Do

Our offerings center around ways to enhance the connection between horse and human.

Equine Bodywork

Hands-on Therapy

For the past thirty years, Kat has been practicing her own unique style of gentle, effective hands-on therapy. With improved flexibility and reduced tension, horses are able to feel and respond to their riders with greater ease. Horses almost always relax into the work, and owners report positive changes in performance and/or demeanor. A strong advocate for the horse and believer in the team approach to horse healthcare, she will consult with your veterinarian and other members of the team, to make sure your horse is getting the best possible care.

Low-Level Laser Therapy

This safe and effective therapy has numerous positive health effects and the device used is of the highest quality. With many hours of post-graduate education in laser applications, Kat has developed a strong feel for how and when to use it.

Saddle Fit Assessment

Saddles can play a big part in how a horse feels and moves under the rider. While not a substitute for a professional saddle fitting, in conjunction with bodywork, we like to check saddles to make sure they are not causing an obvious problem. We will sometimes recommend padding or shimming to help remedy minor issues. More significant issues or fine-tuning should always be assessed by a professional saddle fitter.

Clinics

As a dressage clinician, Kat utilizes a rider-centered method to identify and prioritize what is needed to achieve better balance, harmony, and connection with your horse. While we won’t ignore the horse, the primary focus will be on what the rider is doing—both clearly and invisibly—and how that translates to the horse. Feedback is an essential part of this process, as we monitor what you are feeling both in your body and in your horse. We expect to see and feel immediate changes!
